Freesias thrive in well-drained soil, ideally enriched with organic material and sand, and in a sunny, sheltered location. They are excellent for borders and as fragrant cut flowers.
With a flowering height of 25 cm (10 inches), they should be planted at a depth of 8 cm (3 inches) and spaced 5 cm (2 inches) apart. The best planting time is either in autumn or spring.
