The tulipa darwin hybrid is a tulip that has many varieties. The flowers are cup-shaped, and the petals are rounded. They come in shades of red, orange, yellow, purple, or white and grow on sturdy, tall erect stems. The leaves are green-grey, lance-shaped and upright.

The tulip comes in almost every colour and is one of the best-known flowers in the Netherlands. They must be planted in October and November and the flowering time is from April to June. Especially the 'botanic' tulip is suitable for the garden. They can remain in the ground and will flower again the following year.
