Crocus will grow in a wide range of soils as long as there is good drainage. They prefer sunshine, though their flowers will last longer in partial shade. Ideal for naturalising and suitable for rockeries, planting between shrubs, and in various containers, crocus adds vibrant color to any garden.
They have a flowering height of 10 cm (4 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 5 cm (2 inches) and spaced 10 cm (4 inches) apart. The best planting time is from July onwards.
