Fritillaria Imperialis prefer full sun and well-drained soil, ideally alkaline and enriched with leaf mould or compost. Plant them as focal points in borders, between shrubs, or in containers near the terrace for a striking display.
They have a flowering height of 70 cm (28 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 20 cm (8 inches) and spaced 25 cm (10 inches) apart. The best planting time is from August onwards.
