Anemones will grow in a wide range of soils as long as there is good drainage. They thrive in sunshine or partial shade and benefit from a good supply of humus, such as leaf mould or compost. Excellent for naturalizing in borders, containers, rockeries, wild gardens, and woodland, anemones are versatile and easy to grow.
They have a flowering height of 25 cm (10 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 8 cm (3 inches) and spaced 5 cm (2 inches) apart. The best planting time is in autumn or spring.
