Camassias will grow in a wide range of soils as long as there is good drainage. They thrive in sunshine or partial shade and benefit from a good supply of humus, such as leaf mould or compost. Good for cut flowers and naturalizing in borders, wild gardens, and beside ponds, camassias are a versatile addition to any garden.
They have a flowering height of 75 cm (30 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 8 cm (3 inches) and spaced 15 cm (6 inches) apart. The best planting time is from August onwards.
