Crocus will grow in a wide range of soils as long as there is good drainage. They prefer sunshine, but their flowers will last longer in partial shade. Excellent for naturalising, these bulbs are ideal for rockeries, planting between shrubs, and any kind of container.
With a flowering height of 10 cm (4 inches), they should be planted at a depth of 5 cm (2 inches) and spaced 5 cm (2 inches) apart. The best planting time is from August onwards.
