Crocus will thrive in a wide range of soils as long as there is good drainage. They prefer sunshine, though the flowers will last longer in partial shade. Ideal for naturalizing (leaving them in for flowers year after year), crocus is perfect for rockeries, between shrubs, and in any type of container.
They have a flowering height of 8 cm (3 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 5 cm (2 inches) and spaced 5 cm (2 inches) apart. The best planting time is from July onwards.
