Prepared hyacinths are specifically suited for indoor growing. When planted before the end of September, they can begin flowering from April onwards. They can also be grown in hyacinth "glasses" with just water.
To plant, use almost any container with bulb fibre, placing up to 5 bulbs per container and ensuring that the necks of the bulbs remain above the surface. Water thoroughly, then place the container in a cool, frost-free spot with a maximum temperature of 9ºC (48ºF). Check weekly to ensure they are developing well.
