Daffodils prefer well-drained but moist, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid very dry areas such as under conifers. Plant them informally in groups; they are ideal for rock gardens, containers, and terraces.
Daffodils have a flowering height of 25 cm (10 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 10 cm (4 inches) and spaced 10 cm (4 inches) apart. The best planting time is from August onwards.
