Daffodils prefer well-drained but moist, humus-rich soil in sun or partial shade. Avoid planting in very dry areas, such as under conifers. Plant them informally in groups, making them ideal for rock gardens, containers, and terraces.
They have a flowering height of 30-40 cm (12-16 inches) and should be planted at a depth of 10 cm (4 inches) and spaced 10 cm (4 inches) apart. The best planting time is from August onwards.
