Tulip Darwin 'Day Dream' bulbs offer a delightful fusion of soft yellow and apricot hues that mature into a warm orange, creating a radiant spring display. These tall, sturdy plants, reaching up to 60 cm, are perfect for adding height and elegance to borders or containers. With their large, 15 cm blooms and sweet fragrance, they also make excellent cut flowers. Planting these bulbs in autumn ensures a vibrant and reliable spring bloom
How to Grow
- Choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil.
- Plant bulbs 15 cm deep and 10 cm apart in autumn, before the first frost.
- Water thoroughly after planting to help root development.
- Mulch lightly to protect from severe winter cold.
- Remove mulch in early spring and keep soil moist but not waterlogged.
- Enjoy blooms from mid to late spring; deadhead spent flowers to encourage bulb strength.
